On the historic Covington Square, Church Street Antique Market is housed in a 9500 sq. ft. building built in 1886, when Covington was the hub of the cotton-growing economy in this part of Georgia. At one time, our building was a bowling alley; there are still remnants of the narrow-planked wood floors where the pins were set. More recently, it was the long-time home of the Covington Furniture Co. Prominent Covington businesses Spires Interiors and Covington Florists were also housed here before moving to their curent locations. The Market has been in this location since 2005.
Our dealers (over 40) bring in new items weekly! We have one of the largest selections of vintage jewelry in the area, antique and vintage furniture and accessories, glassware (lots of Fenton glass!), china, a great selection of prints and paintings, mirrors, lamps, and much more. We're a great location for all your special occasion or Holiday shopping--or for finding that 'just right' piece for your home!
We're now proud to carry the beautiful and unique pottery creations of Bo Thompson and Angela Hodges, from Social Circle, GA. Come in and check out their unique and practical dishware, sculptural creations and whimseys!
Covington has been the filming location for many memorable features, most notably the long-running television series In the Heat of Night. Scenes from The Dukes of Hazard and Tyler Perry movies have also been filmed here, and Covington is currently the filming location for the CW Network's smash hit Vampire Diaries, now in its third season. In our Hollywood South space, we have memorabilia and souvenir items available from all these series.
